Front Street Incident

On November 1, 2017 at 1730 hours, Engine 11 responded to a vegetation fire reported at the corner of Burbank Boulevard and Front Street. Engine 11 arrived on scene and reported a well-established fire of approximately 1/4 acre burning in ornamental vegetation at the intersection’s southwest corner. Engine 14 secured a water supply and assisted Engine 11 in attacking the fire. Engine 16 attacked two spot fires on the north side of Burbank Boulevard inside the cloverleaf onramp to the I-5 South freeway. Engine 15 assisted with a water shuttle and the fire attack. Also, Truck 11 responded with Water Tender 16. Knock down was declared at 1810 hours and Investigator 1 arrived on scene. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries and no damage to structures. The Burbank Police Department secured traffic in the area. The Public Works Department repaired a traffic light that was damaged by the fire. All units cleared the incident at 2100 hours.
